132 Calls

Leia had the privilege of teaming up with Definition Theatre, Zealous, the Chicago Community Bond Fund, and a team of Chicago-based animation and audio artists to create a powerfully animated three-part short film series that features the first hand account of Cassandra Greer-Lee, the wife of one of the first people to die in a Chicago jail pretrial from COVID. Cassandra tried to save her husband, but was met with indifference despite calling 132 times.

132 Calls, chronicles Cassandra's fight for justice, and her efforts to save her husband, his humanity and the humanity of others incarcerated in Cook County Jail.
